Information for Institutions

Plagiarism is currently a serious issue at many universities. Avoiding Plagiarism Online is an online plagiarism course and learning management system that helps you to teach your students about plagiarism and how to avoid it.

The course was developed in conjunction with a number of leading universities. The course first explains what is meant by plagiarism and then provides students with information on the key issues. Rather than taking a penal approach to the subject, the course aims to explain the background issues behind the topic and to show students how they can avoid plagiarism in their work. For a more detailed description of the content please see the syllabus below.

The associated learning management system is unique in that it requires very little of the complex administration associated with such systems. If you subscribe to Avoiding Plagiarism Online then all of your students will be able to self-register as long as they have an e-mail address from your institution. If students pass this course they are issued with a personalized course completion certificate that can be saved, printed or sent by e-mail to an administrator.

As a subscriber you will get access to a sophisticated administration system which allows you to track the activity of your students. You will rapidly be able to see which of your students have completed the course.
